COURSE SUMMARY

This highly interactive 16-hour course is designed to give students the knowledge to teach their agencies how to extract combative offenders from a cell or confined room.

Time will be set aside to teach the students extraction techniques and perform scenarios to demonstrate the student’s knowledge of the techniques and procedures.

Students will be required to perform the teach-back method and teach sections of PowerPoint, demonstrate they can teach extraction techniques, and safely manage scenarios.

This course is designed to prepare the students to teach an introductory cell extraction/removal course and will standardize extraction techniques, increasing professionalism and reducing agency liability.

Participants will be required to bring agency cell extraction personal protective equipment and any extraction equipment they want to train with (shields, etc.).
